Hey all... Long time rider, first time ADV rider. CBR1100XX track bike and BMWK1200S fun bike. Selling both to grab me a ADV bike. Been to the local Yammie dealer now about 10 times sitting on the Tenere and making vroom sounds. The bike fits me well. I'm worried about riding comfort. I'm kinda petite @ 6'7" and about 300lbs. We have any other giants here? Hope to be a fellow owner soon.

Welcome on, ADVFF from Cali. Yeah, you're a big boy. My guess is the Tenere will be at least as comfortable for you as any other bike out there. I hope you can find out soon. ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

::004:: to the forum from Oklahoma. I'm 6'2" and about 265 and am completely comfortable on it since the seat is adjustable. My 6'51/2" 300 lb son also rides mine (going to get him one later this year). He loves it! I think with a few adjustments, you will be completely comfortable for those long rides or what ever you need to do... ::001::

Welcome Firefighter and thank you for what you do. I am 6'6" 225 lbs. and I am having some problems getting comfortable on my ST. I bought the bike with bar risers but need to get the bars further towards me to be comfortable. I purchased the longer brake lines and 2" Rox Risers fom Jaxon but have not installed them yet. I'm a bit intimidated about installing the lines myself and the dealer wants $195 to do it. Obviously they know it is a PITA. The bike had the MRA Vario screen when I bought it and I have since added a Madstad bracket. To truly cut down on the wind noise I have to have the screen and lip at their highest points and fully forward. Unfortunately this affects the bike's handling at freeway speeds and makes for an uncomfortable ride. My legs are a bit cramped up as well and I could use some lowered pegs. It has gotten to the point where I am seriously considering trading the bike for a Victory Cross Country Tour. I've never owned a cruiser bike before and have a bit of trouble wrapping my mind around the riding position but have to admit after sitting on one it is much more comfortable. A test ride may say different though. I hope you will have a different experience if you buy a ST. Just go for a long test ride and make sure you can get comfortable before you plunk down your hard earned money.
