Hi I've just recieved my manual CCT from the States...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-12-16-YAMAHA-SUPER-TENERE-XTZ12-MANUAL-CAM-CHAIN-TENSIONER-SILVER-YTR1-09-/360722870330?hash=item53fcc2303a I now need to order the 2014 clutch basket, gasket, and nut, for my overhaul this winter, i've just recieved the shipping costs from Partzilla, although expensive still a cheaper option than buying in Europe! My mileage is 24,000 miles, so just right for the CCT change and clutch together, and I'm sure my plates will be ok and within tolerance, but I was wondering if it's worth the extra expense of getting the barnett spring conversion kit as well? and what's the benefits?????

They make a cool tool for holding the clutch basket in place while you torque on the nut. 24k is prolly a bit soon for you to notice a big difference in the clutch except for the additional lever pull that you'll quickly not notice. But the friction zone is different, you will notice a change on how the bike pulls away from a stop.

I already experience the Hashness at 3k plus revs, and it has a slight rattle on start up, so both jobs justified this winter! ::008::
