Hey I'm from the east coast of Canada and looking to find other ST riders out here. I am in Freddy, NB. Went from a HD Ultra to a VStrom 650 and finally last year to a 2018 ST 1200 ES - have only ridden bout 10k kms on it so far - went to West Virginia and back - no regrets - great bike - am retired and ride a fair amount went across Canada and then Trans Lab hwy on the VStrom looking forward to more adventures on the Yammy. Rick in Moncton???? I might know you! Anybody put wind deflectors on their bikes? I got pretty much everything I want (skid plate, Madstad, crash bars) except those deflectors so if anyone has any advice, recommendations please let me know.

Welcome from Kansas.
Yeah I have the wind deflectors. Most $ I have ever spent on 2 pieces of plastic. Yes they do help. Would I do it again? Probably so. They help a lot with head winds but not much for cross wind.

Welcome from Rick in Sydney, NS.
The wind deflectors make a big difference. I also installed a Madstad windshield and bracket prior to my cross-Canada trip last year. That combination kept 90% of the flying anthropods off my jacket and face shield.

Hey Rick where did you get your wind deflectors? The dealer wants some serious $ for two pieces of plastic! It has been a lengthy winter here on the east coast. Hopefully we can get the bikes out in another three weeks or so!
thanks,
wade

Hey Wade, I ordered the OEM wind deflectors and top box when I bought the bike and the dealer gave me a reasonable discount. I have seen after market somewhere on this sight.

Well hello from the next Province over PEI.. I was born in Freddy!! I ride alot in NB, you have very good hard pact dirt roads over there. Like to weekend camp in the Fundy/Albert count region. Ride the trails and head home Sunday. I'm over there a couple times a month in riding season, if you have suggestion for roads im all ears, defiantly should hook up for some riding.
Love riding over there..
I have 0km on mine Its at the dealer, But I'm going to have them deliver it in a few weeks to get busy Farkling and be ready to go as soon as the weather permits. I bought the factory deflector from the dealer, they gave me a discount and treated me very good when I traded my 2014Vstrom in so I decided to support them. Stay in touch!!

There’s a lot of roads up north...Didn’t experience any on bike but I’ve work around Mt.Tremblay , Riviere-Rouge area, and there’s a lot of forrest roads there. Baskatong reservoir and around looks like a nice place to ride.

Hello from Eastern NB! My '13 had the deflectors when I bought it, so I don't know where they were bought, or how much they cost, but I know that they work. It also has some sort of adjustable aftermarket windshield. Even coming off a very well cocooned C10 Concours, wind protection on my bike is very good, no buffeting or funny currents.20190215_094612.jpg
