Hmm. SATO. Kineton by any chance?
No mate its DAVeSArahTOm from way back when the internet and emails became a thing and each internet account could only have 1 email address, i came up with it to cover the whole family and kept it as a name in forums for nostalgic reasons. I cant have Dave, there are millions of Daves :D:D:D

Ah, makes sense. Thought we may have trodden some of the same paths back in the day.
Were you anything to do with ABR magazine forum or any of the meets? I was a bit involved with them for a while, but got bored with it all BMWs ad budget was rather larger than anyone elses and after Ewan and Charlies tv shows i got fed up with death by GS and everyone thinking they were the only bikes in existence. Nothing personal against GS bikes or people but you know what i mean. I dont go with the flow, im drawn to bikes you dont see loads of

Last ABR meet I was at was a few years ago, the late September one in Ullapool where half the tents were shredded overnight. Had a couple of Caponord ETV1000, KTM950, now the S10. As much as I like the look of GS1200 I couldn't afford to fix the things.

Mainly Honda and Yamaha crossers as a lad, then Honda Blackirds x2, ZX9, ZX12, R1, Thundercats x3, Thunderace. Like my Yams.

I've been organising tours in Scotland for about twelve years. Not for profit, just friends. Got another S10 joining us this year, if we actually have the lockdown lifted. Supposed to be Orkney in June, but we'll see what happens.

Best is difficult to determine. I have a Zerllaug chair that looks very much like a Helinox zero but costs about a third. Comfortable but hard to get out of for me due to it's 10" seat height. It is very compact though and easy to pack.

I have the Helinox and it is good but I would like to get something with a taller back on it.
theres one with a taller back and headrest.

out of curiosity i just priced up a kermit chair posted to the UK, $280. if that wasnt a lot of money to me I'd go for it because its a work of art but thats way out of my price range

I was looking at a knock off version from Amazon but not sure I will get the use out of it this year so might hold off for a bit. Love the Kermit chair, not the price though! And you rarely see them for sale as used, must talk to the quality of them.

Vote for helinox here. Have two legit and one fake. I carry the actual ones w/me regularly. Black Friday or I wouldn’t own them.

Helinox Chair Zero as long as you're on firm ground, someone above mentioned wanting a higher back and I agree but then everything is a compromise. Small pack size or super comfy recliner, can't have both.

As a result of the reviews on here I have just ordered the Helinox sunset chair. Looks super comfortable and weighs in at under 1.5kg.

Unfortunately whilst I was on the Helinox web site I also spotted the Helinox camp bed which also looks a great bit of kit!

This damn forum is costing me a fortune!!

I have Trekology(helinox copy) bought on Amazon for 45$(cdn), and recently saw a Cascade Mountain Tech brand chair for 35$(cdn) at Costco,it takes a bit more space but much more comfortable.

I have their cot. Very comfortable. So much better than sleeping on the ground. I have no regrets, even considering the cost. For me, it was well worth it.

I’m fairly used to sleeping on the floor with just a matt and bag but I saw the Helinox Max cot and thought it looked good. I’m 60 this November so to hell with it!! I’ll be camping in the Lake District in October and this chair and cot will make a welcome change

My Sunset chair turned up today so I had to try it out. Very impressed! Can be assembled in about 30 seconds and is very comfortable to sit in. It’s so light that it very easy to reposition. It feels very secure when you sit in it.
