So funny.. I never like to see a bike go down, but really, shorts, tennis shoes, crocs. Must be the left coast influence. ::025::

What is it that causes so many crashes at that exact corner? The tilt of the road and the dust/sand?

;) Traction control will most likely not save you from a sidewards slide I think. ::001::

From what I gather from another discussion the corner is a decreasing radius, which throws off most riders.

::015:: Corners or roads do not throw off riders. A person's goal, sometimes, far outweighs their ability. Ride sensibly. ::005:: :'(

Going up is a bit of an optical illusion on how far you need to lean in, especially coming out of the previous couple of corners. It looks more open but your speed is usually increasing with the bigger sight picture. Then there are always the spectators, the wind can deposit a thin layer of sand dust, etc, and all can mess with your head.

If there was ever a steel guard "shredder" rail that I'd like to see replaced by a jersey wall, it's the one on this curve.

Is that why so many seem to loose it without trying hard...Another question answered. ::008::

I like watching those, they donlt often show anyone being badly hurt, and often give you a slowmo. It's a good refresher on what not to do in some situations.

Like keep ABS on just in case a policeman is sitting right across the road on a blind corner :D

Probably many reasons, but If I had to guess: Operator Error!

First video, to much of the skinny peddle exiting the corner.

Second video, LOL what is not wrong? Squid, with no riding skill trying to show off.

Third video, to fast for his skill level, and did not set his corner speed and entry properly. His upper body was north of centerline. He lost the front end first, could have been some dirt also.

Fourth video, his upper body was also north of centerline. He got a little wobble before his back tire broke loose. I think dirt or just ran out of contact patch.

Fifth video, LOL police caused that one. He saw the cop and flinched in the corner. He had a good pace going, can't flinch in the middle of the corner.

Sixth video, Busted!!!

Seventh video, just another squid.

I think that one guy on the sportsbike came around the corner, saw the cop car and lost all focus. ::005::
