Sounds good to me. I can do Sep 24 or any weekend in October. Cambria has nice places, some more reasonable than others to stay. The road out of there "Santa Rosa Creek" is very Tenere worthy, truly a goat road, and drops you into some really beautiful country on the "wine country" side of the hill. Someone mentioned Parkfield, they have a nice Inn there, never stayed but visited.

Okay, I'll be watching this thread with interest. I have the month of September off. However, already have plans the first several weeks. Count me in as a strong maybe. ???

I am good to go except... I have jury duty on 9/12. I was not selected last time so maybe the same this time.

toompine you missed a good lunch gathering today. Jeff, Don, Dan and I (Blues Bros) met in Jackson for lunch and a photo op. Maybe we can do another lunch and ride soon.

Sorry folks but work and family has completely consumed my time for the last month and a half. :'( Have had no time to ride and no time to plan the ride. October is looking better if anybody wants to wait on me planning something

I went up to Fort Bragg and did some of the Lost Coast loop this past weekend. Bike did very well in the hundreds of rain miles Monday too.

Rode with some KLR friends this last weekend. Saturday: 50, In & Out Burger (Placerville), Sly Park, Mormon Emmigrant Trail Road, 88, Blue Lakes entrance, Carson City. Sunday: 50, Lake Tahoe, 28, 267, 89, Henness Pass Road entrance, separated ways, Truckee, Tahoe City, 89, Parker Pass, 50, Placerville / Apple Hill traffic (splittin lanes), Home.

Beautiful weather though snow on the ground at 7,000 ft el. Friends did not camp. We stayed at the Hardman House in Carson City. Nice 2 queens room, $55 for single and $64 for two. Lake Tahoe is always beautiful though more beautiful sometimes like Sunday.

The roads have been improved with Obama money. The road improvements almost make it more boring but it sure is smoorth. Give it a couple winters.
