any of you Nor Cal guys ever get over to Cal SCI in west Sacramento... was on the phone with Mark, I think and I will probably ride up one day next week to check out a windshield. he said it would save me tax and shipping and I could try before buy...well, at least check it out... he also said he could call my wife and tell her he HAD to see the bike in person for the windshield, ha! funny and nice gesture, even though I don't need a free "ticket to ride" : )

Let me know when you will be there and I will ride over to meet and greet.

Highlights: West end of US-50. 3,073 miles from Ocean City MD. Good for a photo opportunity :)

It's 135 miles to Fresno from here, right at two hours roughly. The Kettleman Ln exit has a Chevron 50 yds to the west of 99. Unless you're doin I-5. PM will be sent in a second or two.

I rode over there last week. Mark is a great, low key guy and is very funny...very dry sense of humor...which appeals to me. Anyway, he let me mount a screen, take off for 1/2 hr to try it out. Hadn't even gotten my name yet... ::025:: Glad I went by. Would have bought a taller screen which I didn't need. Very happy with his windscreen!!

It was good to have met you. Had a good time. You know I want to come down and ride most of the mountain routes in your area.

I can see where you'd be starved for mountain roads in 'Sack-a-tomatoes.' I lived in Stockton for awhile with killer commutes to the bay area.

Ok so it is Tuesday morning and i am just reading this so you are already on your way and my comments aren't going to help you but you will get them anyway. I am in Sacramento and went to their shop. Small place in industrial West Sacramento Port area. Hard to spot until you notice the motorcycles in front. Great folks, easy talking and lots of fun. They really know their stuff, and have great advice for you.

Oh by the way...incredible product. One of those "spent my money and had no regrets" kind of thing. I got the medium height. Works perfect for me at 5'-10"

Report back on the ride and your screen fitting.

Cool! I think the medium is about right for my 5' 8" tall with 30" inseam frame. I'm pretty impressed with CalSci from all of the comments made so far, so that's probably the brand I'll choose when the time comes.

You will find it money well spent. I have been riding to Redwood City from Sacramento (270 miles round trip) twice a week for the last three weeks leaving Sacramento at 6:00 AM in temperatures from 35 degrees to 42 degrees. That windscreen makes it all possible. Great protection from the wind, no buffeting

That's quite a haul. I think I would be too tempted to nudge-up the cruising speed until I fell into waiting arms of the gazillion LEOs along that route.
Thanks for the added info on the screen. That further cements my decision.
