Let me check my schedule...since I cancelled some things shifted around...in the middle of prepping for a move to a new house.

Hey all you SoCal riders...I suddenly got some free time this Sunday (I'm DONE moving!!) the 12th. Who wants to ride up to Big Bear/Cactus Flats?

Be advised of the Lake Fire that is south and east of Hwy 38. It is 98% contained and I don't think it should effect riding your intended route.
You may want to check the list of Forest roads that are closed in this link: http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/4302/

Thanks, Carl!

It looks like 3N03 is open (Smarts Ranch Road) so I don't think it'll be impacted for travel...BUT, it turns into 2N02 (Burns Canyon Road) and it is currently closed. Will keep an eye on any re-openings.

Spoke to a ranger on the phone. She said that 3N02 is open, but 2N02 that connects to it wouldn't be advisable since it was closed (open as of now) and may close at any time again for fire crews and/or hotspots that pop up.

It looks like we can do some of the trail...we can always turn back.

Wish i could tag along. Wife went camping in sequoia. I'm on baby duty for the weekend.
