Cable Keep

I'm not sure if it is just the US bikes that have the reflectors mounted to the front fork that are held on with the brake caliper bolt??? I removed these as they are hanging in the breeze and just waiting to snag a Creosotebush or something. So have a question for the detectives...there is a small hook (see picture) on the reflector that keeps the ABS cable from flapping around and flirting with the brake disk, so for those who do not have reflectors, is there a cable keep only that you have that could be a stock Yamaha part number? Is there a washer only / keep? Before I start fabing a new setup I'm curious to see if a stock version exists.

Thanks for your detective work!

I left mine flapping. Seems to be taught enough to not come near enough to moving parts to be a problem.

I've been wanting to order the Euro cable holder too, but didn't want to spend $20 shipping for a $7 part. If you do order one, I'd be interested in splitting shipping costs to the US with you.

I just pulled the reflector mount, cut off the part that held the reflector, ground a nice rounded shape (to match the bolt head) around the mounting hole, shot it with some black paint I had, and re-mounted it...

Took all of about 10 minutes, except for the paint drying.

Wow, seems like a lot of effort just to pull a reflector. I didn't even notice the bike had these...can't see them from the rider's seat...

Thanks stevepsd. #9 is it!
To bad it's not #8, as that is available in the US (bike bandit) for $5.36

Andrew S, I will check into it an see what I can find out. Agree that it would be too much shipping cost for one part.

I may do that if it's too costly to get the official mount. Right now it's zip-tied and it's not clean, so looking to get better more permanent set up.
