My bumots arrived today yay! But the installation instructions are crappy. I ordered spacers since I did not had the OEM panniers installed.

Now I am trying to figure out how the rack fits in and where does the spacers go ..

To the experts who already installed it, I would highly appreciate if you can post a close up pics of how the racks are mounted on both sides.

Hi flyby - we've asked BUMOT to update the instructions, as the right side rack setup is now the same as the left side to account for ES model compatibility. Basically, omit step 5 in the instructions, and use step 7 for both left and right front mounting points.

For the spacer kit, the order is as follows from the outside of the peg bracket in - M8 x 50mm bolt, OEM passenger peg bracket, spacer, pannier rack mounting point, washer, locknut. I don't have any pictures with the spacer kit installed at the moment, but the image below (which has the black steel OEM luggage reinforcement in place of the spacer) may help.

Any other questions, you're always welcome to call the shop at (585) 310-ADVM.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if the Bumot panniers will work with a Givi 46L top case?
Do not have a 46L in my plastic inventory, but I can tell you that the Givi E55 and E360 will not work. E360 was close, but I did not have time to move rear rack deck with spacers to find out. Tried both last week when I decided I would use the E55 for a trip to Arkansas. Reverted back to the drybag.

For everyone's information, the Givi V46 does not fit with the Bumot panniers. When raising the lid on the pannier, the corner hangs up on the top case. I ordered the 41L/37L and absolutely love them. I want to personally thank Jason at ADV MOTORRAD for his help. He tried tirelessly to solve my problem, and we came to the same conclusion after many different attempts. If anyone on here knows of any givi monokey/bumot combinations that work, please let me know.
TIA.

What rear rack are you using? And can you install spacers to 'lift' the 46 to gain space for the lid swing?

I have the 36/40 combo and none of my top boxes fit on the Altrider rear rack. E55 looks good till you try and open the lids. Using dry bag till I spring for the Bumot top box.

I was using the Givi S10 specific rack, and adapter plate. I tried using spacers, and went to the extent of almost doubling the spacers, but doing so would require more engineering expertise than I have, because the stress placed on the brackets would be more than originally intended. When you first mount the top box, it looks like it'll easily clear, but when opening the side case lid, it hits the corner. I too am going for the Bumot top case (in 41L) in frost silver.

I got the smaller ones and the large top box. With the dry bag I put behind me to lean against, I can pack anything I want to take with me. I really like the Bumots.
This might be the direction I go with (if I don't just buy the OEM luggage). I believe the smaller ones are still bigger than the Yamaha OEM cases right?

The smaller is a 41/36 ,I believe . I like mine, and I think if I'd have gone for the bigger , it would have looked too big on the bike.

One unintended consequence of the larger boxes, 41/45 combo, is the wind profile. You will catch a bit more wind and may hinder fuel economy. I have the 36/41 combo and am cleaning a lot of bugs off those boxes after trips.

An inch wider each side doesn't seem like much. Till your hauling the mail for a couple days on the slab and your pocket gets thinner faster than expected.
