The before and after pictures are always a revelation, Friends on the Triples forums undertake some absolutely amazing restoration tasks with the end results being quite remarkable :)

Beautiful work!!!

I love to look at antiques but have come to appreciate improvements that have been created for our good.

I wouldn't necessarily want one myself, I too love my modern comforts. We have to winch him off the BSA when he arrives as he can't move due to the vibration :)) But it's great to see an old abandoned bike bought back to life. And as it was his first attempt at a restoration I think he's done a fantastic job !!

Beautiful restoration job! Gotta appreciate the work put in to that bike. I enjoy older machines for what they are/were, but don't feel the need to sink everything I've got into keeping them running. I do understand what went into this machine and think its great!

BSA.... like a diesel bilge pump with wheels on. Damn things are death traps.

Whenever I see these old vibration cursed vintage bikes I stay the hell away from them.
The riders have numb hands, arm pump and generally loose responsiveness.
Hardly conducive to safety. Same goes for Harley and Harley type bikes.
So you're not too keen on them then Fred :D

p.s I know where you're coming from ::008::

New hogs are pretty much vibration free once you get moving.

The god awful loud pipes and 60 year old styling are enough to keep me throwing produce at them however.

The Netherlands, Friesland.
Yesterday had a local ride with the BSA Owners Club Netherlands. Beautiful weather while the rest of the country had a downpour. Around 20 bikes and great people.
My dad drove the Gold Star and I was on the B33 (single cilinder 500 thumper).

Beautiful stuff. I used to have a subscription to Classic Bike, through which I learned that I'm really not up for the craft required to do such restorations. But I sure do appreciate them!
