Well me and the family just got back from vacation and it was wonderful plus I got to ride in the Arizona high country on my S10. On the way home while sitting at a stop sign in McLean, Texas a local with his head somewhere other than driving came around a right turn went way over the center line and smacked my truck. Thankfully no one hurt except my truck bumper, fender, headlight, fog light, hood, and knocked the frontend loose.
He had insurance, he got a couple of tickets, we were off to get a rental and go home. I wasn't even that mad until I talked the bottom feeding insurance claims person this morning. I tell you the truth I have more respect for the a thief that I do for an insurance adjuster, at least a thief is working for himself. A 30K per year adjuster is stealing for a large company. BTW I don't respect a thief they are just a better class of people than insurance adjusters.
She told me she would have a check in the mail in a couple of days- whatever. I said you can send my body shop a check when the work is complete. Her client is at fault and she is trying to hose me. So in short my carrier is going to have to sue to get my new truck back into new shape, I bought my truck new in March of this year. I truly don't know how these people tell their love ones how they make a living.
One more thing, I don't want to hear they are only doing their jobs, that is what the Nazi's said during the war crimes courts.

:D :D :D :D I like it. Nice rant, and you are absolutely correct. Those people have to rank along with Traffic Wardens (people who give out parking tickets) and Tax Inspectors!

Now just wait a minute. I've been known to give out some $250 parking tickets, but to people lower than bottom feeders! Yes, they do exist! What could be lower that a bottom feeding insurance adjuster? How about someone using a dead person's disabled parking permit! Now, giving out that parking ticket can be enjoyable! ::003::

I get involved with insurance adjusters in aviation and other modes. A number of them will give a low bid that will get revised as soon as the customer challenges the estimate with the company. Rather than trying to be accurate, I've been told by a couple that they feel it is their job to minimize the outflow on their company resources.

They are lower than whale shit, and everyone knows whale shit resides on the bottom of the ocean

I used to write parking tickets back in the day (handicapped miss use and such). There is no glamour in it and felt a sense of accomplishment when I got someone who shouldn't be in there but parked there anyway because they were in a hurry. Your body shop should be able to get the insurance to adjust there estimate (and it really is only an estimate on their part). Most times you don't know until they get the damaged parts off.... Let your body guy do his thing...
