I bought my Garene G-Midland GoreTex boots from FC -Moto two weeks ago and paid $261.00, including shipping to my door, no VAT on boots. The price on these boots on FC-Moto has gone up so I posted the lower price I found at Motocard.com. I found a pair of these boots at Moto Liberty here in Dallas for $280.00, but they had a water proof liner other than GoreTex and the local state sales tax brought the price up to $303.00 so I elected to order them from Europe. There are several suppliers in Spain and Italy that carry these boots, you just have to shop around to see who has them at the lowest price.
I've purchased motorcycle clothing and accessories several times in the past from European suppliers with no problems.

Also strange they are having a Black Friday sale. Vendor is in Europe, Spain I think. since when did Black Friday migrate out of the US?

_

Probably about the same time the internet let anybody in the world sell in the US.
I'm sure NOT complaining!

Picture was taken 2 minutes ago. Sitting at my desk in the data-center.

Like most modern day products, even boots these days are far beyond yester-years stuff and there are MANY great boots.
I bought these a few years ago from the small town Yami dealer that was supporting our Super Tenere rally in Arkansas.
They promised they could get them quick before the rally ended. They did.
They are so comfortable that they are my go-to-work-or-church-or-eat-or.......... boots if I'm mounting up on one of the horses.

Full disclosure: Not saying the CEO or the pastor approves of my fashion statement. But I'm a fashion outlaw. lol
They just roll their eyes and live with it.

They do look like a deal!

Muddogs at Tractor Supply cost more than that. And they're just fancy rubber mud boots.
Tempting just to see if they keep my feet dry messing around in the swampland

I have Sidi Canyon boots and like them better than I expected. Definitely have the Sidi quality and design. Found them to be water proof. They walk well and of course fit well on the Tenere.

I have the same boots and comfort-wise they would be hard to beat. They look great too and could be re-soled if needed.

You have a desk?

You're in an office?

My world feels a little off-kilter at the moment.

I completely understand. It's hard to imagine The Dude abiding in such an environment. Lol

It's not my favorite place. And completely unnecessary. But alas, the suits must be appeased on occasion.

Still, when I show, I park my motorcycle right at the building entrance on the internal aircraft taxiway side, (on the tarmac).
They can clearly view it (and know I'm at the office) from their executive office windows.

It's gotta urk a few.
Life is grand.

LOL

That's STILL a glamour shot. I was sat down in a makeup chair and 2 woman went to work on me. About 15 minutes of primping. Nice smelling stuff, I admit.
(I imagine a bit of photoshop too)
The out-of-focus Lear 60 behind me would make a much better subject.

Yea, I'm lucky they put up with me.

They have enough pictures of people wearing suits in their leadership photos. You bring a certain quality that lets the company stand out as something different. Much better than a staged photo of everyone hanging off the back of that Lear in flight...one guy with his hat still in place.

Since we're talking about boots... Sidi ADV-Squeakers will urk the rest of 'em :)

When I'm in the office ~ once a month I'm surrounded by one of two types: Hip twenty something Northern VA software developers, or type-A sales/VP suit and tie individuals that are closer to my age. Neither of them understand each other, and I can't really identify with either group. Makes for some awkward small talk at times. I think we all just respect our talents/backgrounds as we have significantly different interests and personalities.

After having the pleasure of meeting you (and her) in Romney, I immediately concluded that you have gotten an early start on a degree in "Abiding". Lol

You never really graduate, of course, but you do, at some point, finally find that most folks give up requiring you to conform. As much, anyways. ;)

Keep wearing those squeaky boots and long hair to meetings.
