been trying to buy some land 25 miles further down the road, just wanted a few acres and the house but they wouldn't split it up before, now they will but its still more land than i wanted but its hard to pass up, i will ride the demo and used bikes at the store for a while (we have a tenere demo anyway) till we get this sorted,

i take care of dogs and people don't like people who take care of dogs living near them so having a house with no near neighbors and enough land to fence in (dogs shouldn't be in pens) is perfect, found a home for a five week old blind pup tonight we called "Braille" (was gonna call him stevie wonder but the missis wasnt keen) people dropped him outside out local vet at 9pm on a sat night (security cam caught them) with no food water or anything to keep him warm even tho they knew it wasn't going to be open till mon

he made it thru the weekend despite being painfully thin and only being a couple weeks old, he is now a fat lil sh!t and has gone to a great home with other dogs (he needs a lead dog) where he will do great once he works out where the furniture is ::008::

Good luck with the sale.

Hey, who wants to wager that Bloke comes back after a few months with either a black S10 or a Multistrada? 8)

That's a good thing you did for the dog, Bloke. A really good thing. It still amazes me the cruelty some people can display toward our beloved companions. I can't even imagine my "girls" being mistreated in any way. It's a sad thing, but thank goodness for people like you. More power to you, and thank you for that. The picture beside my name on the Forum is one of my current "girls", Annie. R ::008:: ::008::

Braille probably doesn't know he's blind, but he knows you are a good Bloke ::008::

Met a fellow on vacation while I was doing a USA 4 Corners tour who had a small dog that was blind from birth. He purchased the pup from a breeder and it took a couple of days for him to realize the pup was blind. Paid quite a bit of money for this dog, so he called them and they said bring him back and we'll give you a different pup. He asked what they were going to do with the blind pup and they said they would 'destroy' him. NO THANKS! The kind soul kept the dog and he told me the dog is with him 7/24, even while he is working construction.

We have a couple of cats who showed up at our house and adapted our family. Both had been living 'off the land' but not feral. I wonder where they came from. Sweet animals, we love'em....

My German Shephard had to have both her rear hips rebuilt. When I let the breeder know he said send her back and he would send a new pup. Of course that meant my dog would be put down. No thanks. 10 years later she's still a goofy mutt, but she ended up being a very expensive stupid mutt.

I say ::026:: to Bloke.

::026:: good for you... it's what this planet needs (all the time, but no more so than right now IMO) is more humanity, compassion, understanding and above all tolerance. hope the land grab works out for you, and the souls you are buying the land for...

well a little update

sadly one of our pups "Boosa" lost his short battle with kidney infection, he was absolutely the love of our lives and came to us via neo rescue as a pup, he was the runt and sickly but grew fast like neos do but never grew fully due to his kidneys, anyway three weeks ago he got sick and sadly yesterday we had to let him go, broke my heart been a tough week or so watching him go downhill fast, im gutted and dont feel like doing anything really right now but it was just last night we let him go....

sad as one of the main reasons for getting the bigger place was so Boosa had more room to run around :(

He's a handsome devil. I think I'd call him Bubba, or Potlikker. Let us know what you decide on. R ::008:: ::008::

Bloke,
This was too valuable of a story to have mixed in with your For Sale thread, so I took the liberty of splitting it off into its own thread.
