I bought my super low mile 2017 2 months ago. When you live in the desert shouldn't your bike match the environment?I just bought a 17, with SUPER low miles. Color was not a concern for me, never really has been. My GS was Blue and Grey, my Stelvio was Matte Green, and my Tenere is Desert Sand. It's still in transit to me from the Midwest, but the color looks sharp in pics!

Looking forward to going for a ride with you.Would've been nice to make that one
My solution to the grey primer finish on the tank…I like the white and red early colour scheme the best, followed by the yellow and black. Of course the one year I could afford a new bike, the paint schemes went to pot, this has happened to me a few times now. Most manufacturers seem to start well and then downgrade the paint job year on year until it is dullsville. Look at early 750 Africa Twin then look at the last year they were sold, or GPZ900s, Fireblades etc.
Anyway, my colour scheme was the lesser of two evils when I got my bike a few months ago, but it is starting to grow on me.....apart from the tank looking like I am halfway through a respray and have only got as far as putting the undercoat on.View attachment 74147
Looks nice, but if I was paying for paintwork I’d have the tank and front mudguard painted in the DPBM blue.My solution to the white primer: respray in BMW Mineral White metallic
