Up here and checked in to ride my first LD rally. Looks like there are four teneres here including mine. This is a 32 hour rally but may take a newbie route which is 24 hours instead. Lots of folks here. 65 bikes entered?

Can't wait for the start tomorrow at 5 am

Quick update before sleep. I finished! Did not get so many points (enough to be declared a finisher) but I rode 1176 miles in just over 22 hours so I was the only person that earned the "Into The Unknown" SS1000. Mike Kneebone presented my cert. Woot!

I planned out a route that would have gotten me enough points for an experienced rider finish (I was a new to rider finisher) but took a picture of a wrong thing at one location. Oops. Ended riding from Big Sky east to Glendive, MT then back west on a different route to Great Falls then back south to Big Sky.

One rider rode Beartooth Pass sometime early this morning on ice covered roads. Nuts.

The winner was Josh Mountain with 1970 miles in 32 hours.

Oh and the S10 was great except for being poopy mpg going 80ish on the interstate and an intermittent left headlight going out. I had a great time.

Good showing Bappo! It's hard for me to do the speed limit on the interstate too. I got 29mpg on one tank in South Dakota :'(
