Yep, I've just turned 50 today ! Last time I looked I was a sprightly 20 something and now I'm 50, where did it go ? The flip side is for my birthday the Mrs has organised a trip to Italy next year so we can watch the Moto GP at Mugello, which is nice. So far it's the only highlight I can see about being 50... Oh well, it's better than the alternative I suppose.

Happy Birthday ::018::

That one happened to me 4 years back....I'm sure there's some sort of logarithmic scale which governs ageing...the older you get, the quicker time passes :-[

Nah... 50 is nothing! I can't remember that far back. Now next year I turn 70... now that sucks! But like you said, it's better than the alternative I suppose!

I beat you to 50 by just a couple of months. Don't worry, so far things don't look too bad from this side of the hill.

Happy Birthday to You! I clicked off the Big 5-5 this year....and like you, it seems like just a few years ago that I was 27 and could do whatever, whenever, with seemingly no adverse affects! Alas, now I have to make good decisions or I don't feel or function properly the next morning. What I have found is that if you think young, you will act youthful and not 'your age'.

Thanks for the kind words folks, I am feeling everyone of those fifty years today. Oddly enough it seemed such a good idea to have a very large Bourbon just to finish the night off...

Pah - only 50.

I might look 65 in the mirror, but a mere 36 on the inside .............. or was that around the waist - I forget.

It's a shame your big day coincides with Xmas/New Year, but I'm sure you won't let that hold you back.

Mugello is bonkers. Just don't camp, or expect to sleep anywhere near the track on the Saturday.

Funny, when we're little all we want is to be older. When we're middle aged all we want is to be younger. For me at least, as I get older (I'll be 63 in January), I now again appreciate each birthday 'cause it means I'm still here!

At 63 I am beginning to ride the hills. Seems like fun!

A few years ago I celebrated the 29th anniversary of my 29th birthday. Soon I shall have to begin planning the celebration of the 35th anniversary of my 35th birthday. At least I can still swing a leg over & ride ::001::

Apparently it has to do with your cells slowing down, at least that is the theory.
