The main reason I opt for the Jap bikes is the ease of finding a shop.

I have dreamed of owning a Benelli, but is it worth it?

It does look pretty tough.
More for the dirt?

Plus the SuperMoto is another bike my garage doesn't have,
unless the Super T is thrown into that SM category.

Thought you might .... we generally keep a few of these floating around in the back of the truck. They're referred to as the Swiss Army knife .... it's a multi tool in reality. It'll open a can of beans at 10 metres. Dislodge an errant football from a tree up to 20 metres. Dissuade the local muts from scavenging in on pissin' on your truck. It'll instantly deflate a tire should that be a requirement. Oh yeah and if you use it with TLC and a certain amount of dexterity it makes a superb lock unpick. We never seem to need a key these days .... bang and you can walk right in. Dynamic entry ... what's not to like. Hearts and minds .... we go for both
