Does anyone know if removing the battery is possible with AltRider crash bars installed? I sure hope so, because I'm not looking forward to pulling those bars! :-[

You are going to have to loosen the right side to allow it to swing away. It really isn't that bad. No need to touch anything but the right side piece.

I don't remember loosening or removing the Altrider BodyGuard when I removed the battery in the parking lot of a Best Western in Susanville CA... but I could be wrong. I also replaced the battery a couple weeks later.

The battery is a bit of a PITA to re-install since one of the cables is has to be connected then you slide the battery in the tray.

Ditto, tape the terminals, comes out without any trouble for me. The antigravity lithium went in nicely!
