Battery died

After a 5700 mile, 21 day tour around the Northeast US my right headlight started working intermittently. After a few days the bike wouldn't start. Found out the battery was weak, so no go. Took it to the dealer and he found the headlight connectors were a little charred like they had been shorting out. The factory reps said change the headlights, harness's and put a new battery in. Just got it back and so far so good!

Good for you and good for Yamaha. Hopefully they used dielectric grease for the installation of the new parts. Gotta wonder if the battery terminals were never tightened properly.
