Barrel Adjuster on Throttle Cable Maxed-Out, now What?

At around 3000 miles, I adjusted the throttle cable barrel adjuster. With only 3-4 turns left before the two ends separate, I asked the dealer to adjust the cable during my last service visit (which happened to be for a throttle body sync.) The mechanic noted there was no adjustment available ("on the other end"), as I had requested. Is this true? I have no experience, but assumed somewhere within the design, the cable can have the slack removed without using the barrel adjuster. Isn't there a pinch-bolt somewhere along the line that allows for this? This way the in-line barrel adjuster can be re-set and used for further fine tuning?

Has anyone done this? What does it take and where is the adjustment located?

Thanks in advance,

Jason

I have not done it, still have top side barrel left.

If you take a flashlight and look under the left side of the tank you can see the other end of the cable what appears to be adjustable barrels both cables. Looks like you'd need to lift the tank and remove the airbox, and then you'd be where you could get a wrench to it. You can also look straight back from the left front side over the cylinder head and get a view from there. Nothing obvious that I could find in the service manual.

This may help you. I have never looked at it specifically, these pictures were documenting the ease of a plug change, but in these pictures there appears to be a threaded adjuster. Take a look.

There is no adjustment on the TB end, The barrel and lock nut on that end clamp the cables in the bracket. They could be loose however, Have a look at that.
