The bag comes with the gas cap ring not mounted. You can slide it forward or back to suit your taste, then drill the holes in the bag and mount it up. Since the FJR and the S-Ten use the same pattern ring, I went ahead and got the bag and mounted it up to the FJR. Ended up sliding the mount so the bag was all the way to the front, which still clears the bar controls better than my previous bag.
I'm really liking the bag and the fact that no matter how strong the wind is, it stays in place. I little fiddly at the gas stops as I'm still getting used to re-mounting it to the tank ring. Getting it off is easy-peasy with the pull cord.

Inside the bag, looking at the fasteners. I had to go get two longer bolts since the supplied ones were short enough that I could NOT get the nuts started by compressing the bag bottom. The black fasteners are the supplied ones.
