"Keep it simple"
I just discovered that the paint on the frame is bad in one small spot around the middle of the frame (the pipe through the frame, above shaftdrive in engine end)
I have contacted the Yamaha dealer a few days ago, with describtion and these 2 pictures.
And he just told me today, that he have to look at it in person, but it really looks like a warranty "case" (bought it this spring, and 6000 km).
If the will be accepted as a warranty, which he is pretty sure of, Yamaha actually was prepared to order a new frame to me ::008:: I was surprised to hear this, I was expecting, that I had to press hard, to even get a bucket of paint..
I did say "no thanks" to this, because of 2 things. First, some mechanic would have to move everything over to the new frame, and second, the new frame will come to Denmark with NO VIN number, and it will have to be "stamped" here in Denmark, with the same number as the old frame, and this will never look good, and might look like somebody have been chaeting with the VIN number.
So we aggread upon, that he will arrange transport to the dealer, when he for some other reason have a car nearby (there is already salt on the road in my part of Denmark), and when he accept the case as warranty, he will send it to be painted at a professional painter, and when finish, transport back to me ::012::
In my opinion, this is great service ::026::
