Avon Storms on the s10 ??

Does anyone use Avon Storms on their ten ??

I used to run them when I had a gsx1400 and were brilliant tyres, and I'm needing a new set, so just wondering if anyone has been running them and how are they ??

I've just replaced my Avon Storm XMs. I got good mileage out of them (over 10k miles), but hated them in the end. Front grip over road imperfections was terrible. Wet grip wasn't that good. If you want a road biased tyre then my choice would be Michelin Pilot Road 4 or 3, closely followed by Dunlop Roadsmart 2 which are both excellent in the wet. The Continental RoadAttack 2s were excellent in the dry, but wore fairly quickly and were not as good in the wet as the Michelins and Dunlops, although I have not tried the new RoadAttack 2 EVO version.

Funny how opinions can differ a smidge. I'm still running them on my Ten n I'm very happy with them. Loads of miles on em already and looking easy to surpass 10k... Grip in the dry is excellent and don't feel any confidence issues in the wet with em. This is coming off Pirelli Dragons on my TDM9 where I seemed to be bricking me sen every wet bend! Still, can't offer a comparison to the other tyres mentioned below... Always been curious about the Road Pilots and perhaps need to check em out one day too...
