To many to count really....

I was a big SCUBA diver 25 years ago....still have the gear sitting in the basement....probably antiques now.

Then I got really into RC Airplanes...still have an attic with a bunch of stuff....Still play around with those now that the electrics hare as good as the gas planes. I also have a drone....

Then 4x4 off-roading....still have my 98 Wrangler 6" lift with 36" Super Swampers....Can't ever sell the Jeep..

Had a couple of ATVs for a while but sold them when I got back into motorcycling.

Currently I guess my hobbies beyong bikes are, camping with the family and my winter sport is gaming....My after work relacsation is an hour or two on my PS4. I also do a bit of shooting, not as much as I use to but when I can. I have a decent firearm collection.

I have several hobbies that compete for my time. Probably mountain biking takes most of my time. I have been doing it for a lot of years now and have gone the equivalent of 1 1/2 times around the world (63,000km). The bike rack on my Tenere was a must as I can now ride my bike to ride my bike! :) I get my picture taken a lot with this set up. I also scuba dive and try to go every time we visit the Caribbean. I like to go geacaching which goes well with all my hobbies. It gives me a destination and has taken me to some fantastic places while searching for them. 2 of my favourites were the scuba cache hidden in a bus and a cave cache deep in the Niagara Escarpment.

For me it is work or motorcycles. The first pays for the second. Trying to decide if an old fat guy who loves to ride can hang in this arena. My weekend was the other half at the (Iowa) Capital City Bike show and Swap Meet. Did well.

But somehow between Friday when I left work and got to the Fairgrounds and Tonight when I went home, I lost the winter gauntlets. Was 14 degrees so I gave the wife the trophy and said see you at home, take the snow suit as it is warm enough I do not need it, but it had the heated glove wiring. Had the inserts and some summer very well ventilated half gloves, but missing the gauntlets I thought were in the saddlebags (wrong forum, panniers here). Did the ten mile ride home without frostbite, but not really sure how.

I too am one of those that has many avocations… Of course Motorcycles being the first.

But I think it does explain why I'm the "Jack of All Trades and Master of None" when it comes to my other hobbies.

Guitars, both acoustic and electric, R/C cars, Video Games, Shooting sports, Cycling, Hiking, and skiing.

You know, I just realized that the word "avocation" is way above my reading and comprehension.
Therefore I didn't think I had any. ::)

But I do have ONE that I share with my son. We kill fish.
This is our latest serial killer strategy of doing so.

Besides riding my Super Tenere and VRF 800, I run marathons, doing 26 marathons in the last 12 years. Also I drive and maintain a 1917 Ford Model T touring car that I restored in 1990.

Since The title of this thread says “The Motorcycle” I can presume you mean other than the Tenere.
Because all I do and have ever done is Ride!
I have a one track mind. ;D
I ride and raced MX forever it seems.
Less now but We built a track at my sons place and I should be riding there a lot more this summer now that he has their house built and is living there.

And have trail ridden in Colorado for 20 years now. As many singe track as possible. But a lot of jeep roads with my wife on her Raptor 350.

This one is on Pearle Pass With Joey my son-in-law
I have ridden Pearle 4 times all from North to south. [the fun way]

You need to look close to see our bikes on this one.

And Riding with Michelle in Colorado

I know the bible says I shouldn't envy...

but I do.

Nice.

It's probably better this way. 75% of my trips to the ER in the last 30 years have been MX related.

As long as you are happy FOR Eemsreno, genuinely, I'm betting that's not the "kind" of envy that can get you in trouble. LOL
I suspect you are in the clear. O:)

You're just saying you would LOVE it TOO!!!

And 10-4 on the injuries. Dirt is a playground. Those are playground injuries. ER's are full of them.

I think he's in the clear as well. ::012:: I've had my share of playground injuries. This particular one in 2010 ended my 20+yrs of dirt/road racing. Hard to swallow at first but its all good. I had a great time!

It's true, I am happy for eemsreno. Any yes, I wold love to be doing it too. Although if I did I'm sure it would bring out stories of how fast I used to be. Truth is I've never ridden an actual MX bike on a real track in my life, just fast enduros. If you ever found eemsreno and me on the same track, chances are I'm the one holding his pit board.

If we're to the point of comparing x-rays, I'm going to come up short there, too. The doc never gave me the snapshot of my collapsed lung from the ATV MX crash, but he told me it was a good one. Nor did I get to keep the MRI of the deep bone bruise from getting ripped off my CRF450X on an off camber turn of a track. That doctor said my healing time would take me right up to the departure date for my Learn To Race Baja course. Where I promptly crashed on the first day in a lovely silt bed...but no injuries.

I still get a little chuckle when I think about trikepilot saying he had never seen me fall. He had no idea. Of course on our second ride he could no longer say he'd never seen my bike on the ground. Free advice.... don't try to jump a water bar. Trust me.

I still think that may be the only time I recollect you going down on our rides. Me on the other hand.... not so much!!!

I shoot 3 Gun matches and do a metric ton of fly fishing.

I like powerlifting and weightlifting and will probably compete in a USAPL meet soon.

Oh and I'm looking for a decent starter trials bike.

I do other stuff, but mostly because of my kids...
