I know there´s been some threads here with statistics about this and that, but here it is anyways. What is the average age of the ST buyer ? Does it differ in different countries ? The reason for asking is that I read somewhere that in Sweden average age when getting a big bike is something like fifty years and that´s probably coarse of the outrageos prices here (though there are worse - danish for exampel...Ithink ). Does that mean that the ST is a bike for the gentleman of a more mature age ? Don´t know how to go about getting those facts. Might be this site´s the best way :question: ::26:: Hm me I´m 63 this year.

To my knowledge, tallgears is the youngin' of the forum. 24 or something crazy when he bought his.

43 when I took the plunge. I love my KLR but, the Tenere is a massive upgrade for aging bones and the sore butt.

Drive shaft bike.
Automatically draws the more gentlemanly type. :)

And yes, Tallgears is really young. But have you met him? Nobody is more the gentleman. He's what we call an old soul.

I'm just shy of 56. I bet I'm right about the mean average.

I don't think it's just the ST that attracts older riders. I think that all of the bigger touring bikes are in the average mid 50's range. Probably due to affordability and comfort.
I had attended several of the BMW rallies and each year the average age went up, again in mid 50's.

I'm 52. :)

29 here, but I knew exactly what I wanted when I bought the S10 and plan on taking this bike on long trips. I do also have a CBR if I feel like riding something appropriate for my age.

31 at purchase of my 2012. previous bike was a 2001 superhawk. I was and I still am riding long distances and I needed something better suited for it. touring bikes are too boring, and I didn't want the bike to put limits on my enjoyment. This bike rules.

I was two weeks shy of 44 when I took delivery of my PDP bike.

Sent from my Windows phone. Spelling errors free of charge.

Nobody ever wore out a K2. They just go away somewhere. Like socks. :)

Seriously, that's awesome you had one still pulling duty a couple of years ago.

Well, the average age of me would be right at 20.5 years... ::013::

...that'd be (41 - 0)/2 = 20.5... ::025::
