I finished my second auxiliary cell installation today.

Custom 20litre aluminium plate flatbed style tank gives an optimised Iron But Rally volume of 43 litres or a bit under 11.5 gallons.

The flat bed gives me ample luggage space.

Little test run tomorrow. Tank range now of over 725km or 450 miles! ::015::

Looks good.. ::008:: Do you have it plumbed through the vent line so it siphons the fuel into the main tank first or is it a drilled in line?

Drilled into the main tank, bulkhead fitting with 90 degree elbow, inline filter, CRC "BMW" style dry break, tap, weld-on outlet with barb fitting.

The tank is 3mm aluminium plate with extra side rail " [ " shaped sections to avoid stress on the tank corners; 1 longitudinal and 2 transverse baffles with corner cut-outs; alloy aircraft style filler; rollover valve/vent line.

You are an innovative & talented craftsman! I like how you even incorporated a tie-down accommodation for the TT dry-bag.

That's not a dry-bag, it's a housing for the generator that runs all those spot lights ???
Good work Ox - Hope you have a strong bladder..

All you need is one of them aircraft style In flight refueling nozzles in the front for the next upgrade. Just pull in behind a tanker at 100km/h and pump away. ;D

Or the other way 'round Graham.........

I have a spare dry break in my tank bag: if anyone else runs out of gas its just a matter of unclicking fuel line at the dry break, clicking in the spare and the Tenere becomes the mobile fuel station ::022::
