I have a 4 gallon tank that I plan to mount on the rear of my 2018 s10. It has a fuel pump if needed , but I cant figure where to plumb the aux tank line into the main tank. I have searched the web over for instructions but with no luck. I would appreciate any information on how to plumb it. I am considering doing a cc 50 ironbutt and will need to limit the gas stops allowing more time to take a sleep stop. lonslo

You start off with drilling a hole in the bottom of your tank. There are a few threads on here about plumbing in an aux tank. In your searches include Iron Butt.

Drill with step bit and install the bung - you have been well advised via above posts. Not exactly your question, but EAZ cycle (Ernie) https://eazcycle.com makes a tenure specific aux tank that is pretty slick. It is a flat bed and you can mount a pelican roller case on top of it for a top box. Couple of us LD crazies are running it with great results. I drilled my tank with a bung, but there is another option where you T into the vent line from your main tank and the Aux tank becomes the vent and pulls fuel in as the main empties. Many are using this with success, but I cannot claim any expertise on it. @EricV is a great resource for this types of things (and many other things too).
