Has anyone come across the aux light plug? I know this thing is pre-wired for aux lights, but I didn't come across it while installing the LED turn signals. I will end up digging around sooner or later, but I was hoping that someone may know where it be.

Hi Paul, I checked last night and found them to the right of the battery and just left and above the toolkit tucked under a bundle of wires. Looks like they come with the female adapter connected too.
There are two, I don't know which is for the lights, but one is lights and the other must be for OEM heated grips.

Lights are three wire, heated grips are 4 wire. I am planning to run my KTM heated grips into the light plug and warm and safe gear into the heated grip plug. Doing my research now to get it done.

Thanks for the info on which is which. How are the KTM heated grips compared to Heaterz or Hot grips or OEM Yamaha grips? I assume you have them on your 950SM already?

Don't have anything to compare the ktm heated grips to, but they work on my ktm and are cheaper than Yamahas. I can change the connectors to plug them in. 20amp for light plug, not sure how many amp for grips plug.

I broke out the Solstice Prime LED Aux lights and the included wiring harness today. I'm a bit of a novice with this kind of thing. Would someone with experience with this kind of stuff care to offer some tips?

Looks like there is a connector provided on the plug that is on the bike, so we should be able to attach this connector to the supplied wiring harness, right?

Do we still need the relay that came with the harness? or is there already a relay somewhere on the bike?

I also noticed that the switch that came with the wiring harness is a three wire switch? is that because the switch is lighted? I was hoping to just get a simple on/off switch to fit in the HDB top clamp, so I guess I could just cut that switch off and attach the red and black wires to the two wire switch?

use the harness that came with it, I plan on using it as well as that last posts diagram. I plan on using the plug for the aux lights that was found earlier in this post . Yes the 3 wires on the switch is for the light on the switch.

Hey Clem, I didn't see any kind of bracket included in the Solstice package for the switch? Did you get one? If not, how and where to you plan to mount the switch?

I plan on mounting the switch right where I can toggle it on the left hand. I will most likely use a small piece of aluminum, mount the bug switch to it. Plan is to tackle it this weekend, I have been a little busy lately, so the micas went on tonight. I've got to get the seat fixed better, the windshield is too low for my tastes. I am putting on rox risers this weekend. Aux lights are on the list.

I just used a fuzeblock wired to battery and got the switched power source from the blue/black wire on that accessory 4 wire set up (positap). I then wired up my model 44 advmonster lights direct to their dimmer module that wires into the positive and negative of the fuzeblock. Pretty easy.
