Anybody using one of these? Being a cheapskate I'm looking at price as well as quality. The Arrow seem to be about the most reasonable compared to an Akro or Remus. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion one way or the other about fitment, performance increase and sound level. I don't want straight pipe loud, just a little more volume

The other option is of course to leave the SOB alone and just ride it, which is a very real possibility. However I love the 270* firing order sound the engine makes and a little more can only help.

****Modified because I read enough about TBR to not want one****

Arrow claim 9BHP for a full system and 2BHP for just the can - probably not enough power to notice, but it should help with the sound.

I have just the headers as I picked them up cheap and they gave my bike another 6BHP with the OE end can fitted, but they do cause surging at very low revs / low throttle openings (like trying to trickle along at @2,000 rpm) even with an ECU-U Flash for this setup it is still there (but much better and easy to live with)

For a bit more sound I would add a can, any should do, and with most the restrictions being in the headers I doubt any would make a big difference to power so may as well choose what best fits your budget - even looks are not that important with the thing being hidden.

Oh, they will all be a bit lighter - but if light weight was on your bike shopping list the dealer really tucked you up ;)

Being somewhat rotund, if not downright portly myself I doubt the 5 or 6 lb weight difference between the Arrow and the stocker is going to be overly noticeable. I just want a little more volume. Not piss off the neighbors loud, just cranked up a notch. I think the Arrow ought to do the trick.

I just got mine from Jaxon a few weeks ago. Love it! With the sound reducing tip in, the noise is reasonable. With it out, the bike sounds amazing. Reminds me of my RC51. I went with the titanium version, cause I had to have it. The SS version is a screaming deal. I cant feel any performance difference, but I swear my MPG is up a bit. Fit couldn't be better and except for the stupid welded on bracket for the heat shield bumper, its gorgeous.

Do you notice any difference in sound? I'm wondering because the 2014 riders report a more aggressive exhaust note with the only difference being no cross-over pipe. Thanks!

Yes, but I no longer have a great big wedge of crap blocking up the headers which probably had more to do with the noise increase than the lack of a balance pipe.

With the OE can the extra noise is a deep sound, not particularly noticeable, or tuneful for that matter, I expect a more free flowing end can may be a bit noisy for my liking combined with the headers - I am waiting for a used bargain to test this theory.
