I'm new to this bike, and tried searching. I have a 2013, and wondering if all model years seats will work/fit my 13?
Thanks for your input.

If you are uncomfortable (probably)... do the Seat Mod (simple and inexpensive) and reassess.smitty141 said:I'm new to this bike, and tried searching. I have a 2013, and wondering if all model years seats will work/fit my 13?

Just finished a 7,200 mile ride in the Corbin seat. The seat never broke in and never became comfortable. Still hard and did not take the shape of by backside. Granted I weight just 170lbs but aftet that many miles it should have molded. I got hot spots and saddle sore. Wearing Klim riding pants and Astar undershorts, so I don't think it was from my pants.MrVvrroomm said:Please tell us why

Mirrors my experience. Delays, email silence, promised call backs that never came, etc. Took more five weeks to get my seat built when it was supposed to be just a couple weeks, and then I had to send it back for alterations as it didn't match what I thought I had ordered -- a non-dished seat that didn't force me into one position. Still doesn't work well for me even after the alterations, but instead of another round of sending it across the Pacific I gave up and will sell it.rushfan said:Yep, they appear to be the same. I'm still waiting on my seat from Seth Laam...... ::002::..... I picked up a used stocker to use till I get mine back. If you go with Laam wait till the fall. He's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind. He's had my seat for 3 weeks and I still haven't heard from him.... ::010::
He did a seat for me (different bike) & it was awesome. I have no doubt about the quality of the seats he makes but you're correct, he seriously needs a business manager & some help. That or keep the business small and do very limited production runs.twinrider said:Mirrors my experience. A friend was in touch with him about getting his FJR seat done and ended up going with Russell after not getting email responses following their initial very positive discussion.
On the phone he struck me as a friendly, enthusiastic guy but I think he needs a good business manager....
At the moment I am not selling it, talking with Corbin about how to resolve my issue. I have read a few more reviews in the last few days related to the Super10 seat and seems that Russell makes the best seat. However if Corbin can't solve my problem I will send my seat to Russell. I am also going to try and make a top cushion and see if that can give all day comfort.MrVvrroomm said:How much ya want for the Corbin?
