April Ride To Eat (RTE) in Frederick, MD (MD, NoVA, WVA, DC)

Now that we've got a number of owners in the area, let's plan for a RTE. I'm thinking April 15 or 22 NOON lunch on the patio at Champion Billiards Cafe (http://www.frederickchampions.com/), followed by a ride.


Totally open to venue changes. Maybe meet in Clarksburg, Brunswick, or Harpers Ferry?

Right now I can make either day work. Meeting in Harpers Ferry would give people from outside the immediate area a chance to arrive early to check out an interesting spot. I'm open to any meeting spot. It's all local to me.

Some good places to ride near Frederick. This sign can be found in the Frederick Watershed area. It's worth the "risk" if you like shallow water crossings.

Dirt Dad - that sign looks tempting. Always up for water crossings and exploring off pavement. Great way to build appetite for the RTE!

Let's nail down the date to April 22, plan for a noon lunch.

Tentatively still Champions patio, but totally open to Harper's Ferry, the Green Country Inn's restaurant in Brunswick, Clarksburg, etc.

I'm having some timing issues, and am not going to make it. :'( I had really been looking forward to this.

Hopefully will catch up with some of you in May at the Romney Cycles get together!

I will try to make it as well.. I will just be returning from Whitewater Rafting so I do hope I am back in time to make it.... would love to meet other riders... the 27000 miles I put on my last bike was all solitary riding and I am tired of that. The meet is only 24miles from my house so is a perfect location for me.

Seriously, if it rains as forecast and just the 3-4 of us (DCStrom, Phishyars, CapitalCycle, me), it'll be easier and closer to just hit one of the local breweries or restaurants near us.

I know Eli likes Outa The Way Cafe, plus there's Growlers, Grainery Row, Red Hot & Blue, Roys, etc. We could meet at my place and walk to Fontina's grill or the really good/authentic Mexican eatery around the corner.
