Stryker,
I have the ceramic bead seat cover from Beadrider and have used it for five years or so (On my cruiser touring bike). I’m from Canada but have used it on trips to Utah, Texas, Arizona etc. so I have many miles on it. Originally I bought it after a big trip in 2016 that was over 100 degrees (115 was common) for nearly the entire 23 days and my ass was soaked on the bike. So I got it to keep my butt dry and it certainly does that. It also allows to move around a bit and change the pressure points which adds a good amount of riding time between needing a butt break. On a cold day you’ll feel the wind. It makes my seat much more comfortable. I highly recommend trying them.
Cons: when it’s really hot (100+) it seems like the ceramic beads heat up so I’d be tempted to try the wood ones if I were to do it again. The beads lift you up a bit and the ceramic ones are a bit slippery so you’ll feel less planted in the saddle, a little disconnected from the bike.
Hope that helps.
