interesting comment - here in the UK the PIAA are over double the price of the GIVI - the give' can be had for around £130 whereas the PIAA are £300 - and thats if you can get hold of them at all!

The Givi - probably for this reason - are quite popular in the UK at least. I guess they are a bit old fashioned in that they use a regal H3 fitting halogen bulb and so use more power than an LED lamp such as the PIAA.

Over on the v-strom board there were a few people fitted them - they seem well made, but the lamps are a little prone to vibration damage and some owners replaced the halogen bulb with an H3 fitment LED bulb anyway!

I don't have them, but have seen them elsewhere, they are bigger than you imagine they are going to be - physically i mean - and look like they are made from nice materials.

Givi now makes an LED version. It looks a little different with an brushed aluminum finish which I don't care for. Price is a bit more too as well. Ignoring the power consumption there is something to be said for the quality of light given by the now old fashion halogens. LEDs are bright but the light just seems a little washed out somehow.

i didn't know that - must be pretty recent.

i just looked them up - they are certainly an unusual design! - not sure how much they are, but i'll look into it.

They look exactly like what I have been looking for. They could easily bolt on to my OEM crash guard or frame guard.
I like the switch but am a very novice electrical guy, really paranoid about anything electrical.
I would hope installation is very easy as I would screw up the electrical part quite easily.
I want a set.

Those are good looking lights but they are huge! Think soup can but a bigger. I have two friends with them on there GSAs and looked at them as an option but went with the rigid dually d2s. They are rugged and fit the bike in size and appearance.

Well, you don't have to pay UK prices. Amazon will ship the ones I listed overseas. That's how I got a set for $220 delivered instead of the $350 they cost locally. ::008::

Got em mounted ok . Only took me about 10 hours ::)

I believe I'll be able to use these at night with cars around unlike my light bar which turns night into day.
