I had a bunch of Honda Fours over the years, but then I worked at a Honda dealer for a long time in the early '70's, and then became a Honda dealer myself in 1981. I only had one 750 K-model, though, and it was a 1975. Is yours an F, K, or A model?
If my memory serves me correctly it was a F model. I only owned it long enough to clean out the carbs and get it running. Sold it to a woman doctor from New Jersey who test rode it wearing a white lab coat. :))

Well, at least you know you'll have it time for the Big Bend ride! :))

And hell... You'll probably get a lower VIN than I have - maybe even number 000001... ???

Well, I had a 1976 F-model single-cam (single exhaust, right side - mine was candy red) and later a 1979 Silver CB-750-F DOHC, which turned out to be one of my most successful road racing mounts in my career. In fact, it and my later 1981 CB-900-F were two of my all-time favorite motorcycles I have ever owned, period.

Thanks!

My dealer in MN emailed me today that my blue bike was at the store (complete with 48 miles on it). Too bad I'm currently riding to Nova Scotia for 3 weeks and won't get to ride my ST until late August. I ordered mine in early January. Oh, the guys at the store would LIKE to ride my bike 48 miles...typically motorcycle shop humor. Now the question will be how long till my rider package shows up complete with GoPro camera...

Well...I ordered my super-fast Blue S-10 within the first 15 minutes of the bikes being announced (ordered 1 Sept 2010, 9:15am). My bike was just invoiced out of the Seattle warehouse yesterday (7/28) and delivery was supposed to be today, but looks like Monday (due to our somewhat remote location on the Oregon Coast).

Just received my VIN and it ends in 570.

So delivery just happens as it happens, same with how the bikes are assigned to use purchasers...certainly not in the order they were ordered, or anything else.

That really sucks steve and I mean that in the nicest way. I never expected to get mine so early being a 8th day buyer. I guess it's location, location, location. I'm right off !-20 eastbbound out of Dallas which is a easy drop for a shipper. Only 400 miles East of Dallas.

Hang in there man good things come to people who wait. ;)

Since I am now seeing, including mine, that the California VIN #s are all below 100, mine being 052, it would appear that they ran the California only bikes at the front end of the production line. Gotta love the Californikistani politicians and their emissions requirements.

With everything that has gone on since the inception of the PDP I think Yamaha has done a fantastic job of releasing them as they have. It is a safe bet that all will be delivered by the second week of August.

Think about all the work that went on behind the scenes and all the kept secrets while shipping these fine steeds across the country. That's a pretty well oiled machine at work if you ask me. If the dealers knew, the kept it quiet. That's a lot of people under the understanding of, 'Loose lips sink ships'.

Job well done! Now, let's moto!!!!

Just FYI....California bikes have a different 8th digit in the VIN (E for 49 state and Y for California)....if my info is correct.

The CA bikes have their own separate sequence of numbers with a different prefix VIN and since their production run is probably a tenth of the 49-states', they'll all have relatively low sequence numbers. This tells you nothing about whether they were built first or last.

Hopefully they were built after the 49 state YST's. If not I have the 27th YST numbered.

And one of our non CA bikes is 000006, so there are some below 100 VIN's that are not CA.

Are you sure it is not a CA YST?
