I just got my S10 and sadly am not mechanically inclined or so equipped if I were. I was hoping to get the clutch basket and cct swapped out. Of course id ride, bring parts and whatever else to compensate. I just dont trust dealers around here.

THANKS!!!

Would you be willing to travel to Jacksonville, FL?

I have all the tools needed, including the EBC clutch removal tool, an extra nut and gasket.

I am leaving tomorrow morning on a work trip and will be back only in about eleven days. I have no business in SC, but when I'm back, I could take my tools and ride there to change it for you...I guess.

Seriously, the clutch basket is the easiest jobs to do, a few simple tools and a clutch basket wrench will make the job 1 hour, start to finish. There is a fantastic tutorial on the site (do a quick search) done by Koinz ( ::008::). Buy the 27mm nut, a socket of course, the gasket, although I never used mine, the very thin wire ring set, to retain the first two plates..............

Read the thread a few times, it really is that easy, a torque wrench is your friend, and on the side stand you don't lose a drop of oil. Make sure you keep an eye on the two dowels.

Look at this exploded view to see all the parts.

The CCT, I would personally not touch, leave it to someone that has done it or a shop....

I agree the clutch basket is no problem to change for a mechanic, but someone that's not so good a mechanic could find 20 ways to screw it up and bad too. Don't take a chance, have someone that knows what they're doing have at it.
