I think I am going to pitch in for some adjustable dog bones, my quest is to get another 4-5mm ride height, my stiffer sprung shock already helps with this and assists ground clearance, but I fancy a bit more ride height for a better steering response and think this will be the way forward.
This setup will also allow me to experiment until I get exactly what I like, the 10mm / 20mm / 30mm kits probably won't be what I am after, even 10mm is fairly large as ride height adjustment goes, I suspect on a bike as lazy as the Tenere this would be OK, and I did run the OE shock about 6-8mm higher.
I also like the fact I can easily raise it a shade when setting off on a two-up tour, although I can add more pre-load this only takes you so far, the bike will always be sat a fair bit lower when two-up with luggage unless you swap the spring, this gives me another way of keeping the steering and ground clearance sweet on those twisting Alpine passes.
Anyway, I need to order a custom set of Soupys performance links, and have them posted from the good old US of A, so if anyone else in blighty fances a set I can probably get 3 shipped for the same cost.
You can have these set to raise, lower, or a bit of both, the standard ones allow for lowering and are cheapest at £60, with custom ones around £82, shipping is £34 but as mentioned I could probably get 3 sets sent for the same money.
