I just picked up a new leftover 2013 Super Tenere two days ago and am very impressed so far. I love these big beasts for the riding position, comfort and not having to worry about broken up pavement, curbs, and everything else that would have me stopped dead on a regular streetbike.

I've been riding 37 years and 34 of them have been on the street. I grew up with big bore standards like the earl 80's vintage KZ1000's, GS1100's and FJ1200's and continued that basic theme with several ZRX's, YZF1000R Thunderace, a few Hayabusa, a ZX12R, etc. Got my first sort-of-adventure class bike 5 years ago, a Versys 650. That bike helped verify that I wanted to go in a new direction. Sold it after 5 months (too little power, too small overall) and bought the Vstrom 1000. That gave me the power and some of the comfort, but also some headaches trying to fix the long list of shortcomings. That's gone now and here I am with a shiny white and red Super Tenere.

So far, very enjoyable, even this morning in 27 degrees and with snow falling. Ok, maybe that wasn't quite as fun..
