Guess I better do the intro thing after a couple years of lurking ;)

I have been sitting on, analyzing, borrowing and recently searching for the right Super Ten. Finally all the variables aligned and I picked her up on Tuesday. Tastefully pre-farkled, warranted, etcetera with only 5k miles.

I've been riding on the street about 28 years, dirt before that. Long history of bikes as you can imagine. The most recent being the poor man's Super Ten, a nice Kawasaki Versys, which I still like very much, but it's missing some key things (shaft, abs, cushy suspension being the big three). The Versys will have to go now, sadly, I can't keep up with riding 4 bikes. Still working on convincing the wife that the 2001 Interceptor really belongs in the living room as modern art ::26::

Any how, a big thanks to the forum community, there is a lot of good info here that helped me to finally pull the trigger.

/Curt

Curt welcome to the site! I think you will be very happy with the new bike. You live a good area for the Tenere, I lived in Blissfield for years before moving and really miss the area west of Ann Arbor and the city itself. Does your bike have a flash or PCV set up and if not are you thinking of either?

No PCV, no flash that I am aware of. I am considering the rev 2 unleashed flash, we'll see... :)

First off, greetings and salutations from The Sandbox! You're gonna love the bike.

And if your wife can't appreciate the Interceptor as a piece of art you may want to re-think your decision to marry her...just sayin'. ;)

What color is your Gen 5?

I do miss my Gen 6 every-now-and-again...

Hey there, welcome . . . I'm over on the dunes' (west) side . . . Beulahland. Welcome to the fold. I don't miss my fjr after saddling up on the "X-Ta-Zee". I haven't put a lot of miles on her but it's probably the best all-round bike I've owned (had a few). There's a couple of Tens around T.C. but I haven't met anyone yet. Maybe next year we can do a lunch run?

When I wanted to drop a bunch of coin on a 4th bike to get the super ten, she said 'Sure', so I think I'll keep her.. ;-)

2001's are Honda Racing Red...
