Just sent my ECU off to AVC8130. He received it on a Monday. It was reflashed and on its way back the same day. The bike works great and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend his service.

Which Mode are you in S sport T touring. Sport can be very lively.theroamr said:I just bought a used 2012 Yamaha super tenere and was wondering is there any way to check to see if my ECU has been reflashed already. The reason I'm asking is the bike seems pretty Lively already

With a reflash, the relationship between the twistgrip and the throttle body butterflies are manipulated, with some fueling and timing changes also. The rev-limiter is NOT removed.2daMax said:Usually a flashed ECU will have the first 3 gears rev limiter removed. Easy to check. If u can hit red line on 1st gear, then it is re-flashed. Try in both T and S mode as some chose to leave T mode stock and make changes to S mode.

I believe there are only two main sources for reflashes; Anthony and ECU Unleashedtheroamr said:I just bought a used 2012 Yamaha super tenere and was wondering is there any way to check to see if my ECU has been reflashed already. The reason I'm asking is the bike seems pretty Lively already
What??groundhog said:Surely if you can't tell whether your bike has been re flashed or not why would you be bothered either way?? ::021::
You can tell if your bike has been flashed by when your fan comes on. Both flash providers change the cooling fan activation to a lower temperature than factory. Not sure of the numbers and am not near a source of the information, but I bet someone else here will know....theroamr said:I just bought a used 2012 Yamaha super tenere and was wondering is there any way to check to see if my ECU has been reflashed already. I know Anthony lowers his fan on, Unleashed does as well? That's handy to know.regulator said:You can tell if your bike has been flashed by when your fan comes on.
