Agreed most of out Tech came from the FJ which is one of the reasons i got one as it's been proven over a long time. That would allow a "parts bin" bike. Which the T-12 may have been from the start.

What is it people would want from a new T12? I like that its a fairly basic bike with some creature comforts like shaft drive and tubeless wheels. Its a good bike that can do it all reasonably well. My only real complaints are nit picky crap like a more comfy seat and less wind noise
HD was first. The Mandello is only available by request. They will deliver it to you when manufactured.Maybe that's why this one looked familiar.

hurrah! I have a flip phone too. Hate the modern so called smart phonesFlip phones forever!!
They are turning off the 3G over here so a lot of the older phones will become redundant.hurrah! I have a flip phone too. Hate the modern so called smart phones
You won't really the step up was 4g. Thing with 5g is there is Low Band, Medium Band and High Band. People are somewhat mislead as the specs the providers quote tend to be the High Band which has a short range ( that's why you see the transmitters in high density areas ) where as Low Band has a much greater range and the specs are more akin to 4g. Mostly you will be picking up Low Band. For the record i live in London and the reception is crap.I have not seen any improvement in 5G over 3G. And my 5G phone is trash.
So, I'm guess we're talking "frequencies" with "bands"? On the sub we could pick up low freqs at a much greater range than low freqs.. . . . High Band which has a short range ( that's why you see the transmitters in high density areas ) where as Low Band has a much greater range . . . .
Yes lower fregs have a longer range but carry less data than higher freqs. The band's refer to bandwidth. Like AM Radio which is Mono compared with FM whis is Stereo. So, I'm guess we're talking "frequencies" with "bands"? On the sub we could pick up low freqs at a much greater range than low freqs.
Yeah, ye olde ULF bands. Literally passing through earth and water. So, I'm guess we're talking "frequencies" with "bands"? On the sub we could pick up low freqs at a much greater range than low freqs.
I remember that was the speculation back in the day when BMW was marketing 1200 engines for fire pumps and other engine uses. Doesn't look like it ever came to be.When I was questioning why Yamaha put the oil filter as the first thing that would touch ground on a bike that was intended to go off road, CW said that the engine may have come from a watercraft or ATV/UTV. If that is true, that could indicate that Yamaha wasn't sure if it wanted to go "all in" on the then new-ish ADV market.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 2016 anniversary ST, but now maybe I should wait for the 900.....
