I see Tim got here before me.

We (my wife and I) bought a 2011 S10 a couple of weeks ago. We already have a GSA that we really like and I wanted something similar but not quite the same. 1600 or so miles in and we're really enjoying the bike so I think it's here to stay...until, perhaps, we change it for an XT1200ZE.

The one we have has already been farkled to the hilt so we've done very little to it since we bought it apart from rewire the accessories, install HID, fit a gear indicator and a speedohealer and modify the satnav mount. I want to change the seat as I have a damaged coccyx so it's rather uncomfortable after a few hundred miles. If anyone in the US has a second-hand seat I can buy and send to Rick Mayer please let me know.

Why not try Tony Archer for the seat, he has done mine and a mates, also did my GS seat and one for my old ZZR1400 - all were good.

Cost about £80 for rider and passenger seat ::008::

I've had several seats from Tony before and while they're better than others I've had made in the UK (although I have to say the results have been variable) the ones we have on the GSA that Rick did are in a different class. My damaged coccyx means I'm usually shovelling painkillers in like Smarties but I get no coccyx pain at all on the GSA's new seat.

We recently did a 24-hour run on the GSA which, apart from a few short breaks, was pretty much continuous riding and while I was suffering a bit the next day I took no painkillers during the ride at all. I vowed then that rather than mess about I'd just get Rick to do any other seat modifications we needed doing. I think it's fair to say I'm a fan.

Edit: I rushed to send that as breakfast was ready instead of waiting until afterwards. I should have included 'Thanks for the suggestion' and acknowledged that Rick's seat modifications are more expensive than Tony's but worth every penny (cent) IMO.
