This is a really cool mini series!! In just the first episode you will not be surprised what bikes break down on the first day.
OMG. 3 hrs to travel 10 miles and 2 breakdowns already. What a train wreck. This is a really cool mini series!! In just the first episode you will not be surprised what bikes break down on the first day.
Thank you VRODE!! I thought Brian made a bunch of horrible decisions. One after another. They had damn chase vehicles yet were having beginner riders hauling all that weight on the bikes. And leaving the injured riders behind for a self served accomplishment was just flat out wrong.I don’t think they had to stage anything. Taking noobs on large adv bikes thru the terrain they were on couldn’t be anything other than a shit show. Risking people’s life and limb to meet “challenges” seems kinda reckless to me. I know motorcycling is risky, but i think the notion of pushing people beyond a comfort level was way overdone.
As a former instructor, my goal was to get people to challenge themselves and enjoy the efforts and rewards. Not turn it into motorcycle boot camp. Half the riders made it, but I don’t know that it was enjoyable. The other half were setup for failure IMHOThank you VRODE!! I thought Brian made a bunch of horrible decisions. One after another. I don't want to make this about religion but he is not good Christian at all. Might just as well have been a devil worshiper. I have ridden with those kind of riders. Pure evil. And whats up with the dude praying for God to repair his bike? Since when does God make bike repairs?
It reminded me of a nasty trail ride I did years back. One of the guys had no business being on the trail. I tried to talk him out of it. I even went so far as to offer to ride back to the trucks with him. Well his "friend" overruled me and pushed him to keep going. That same "friend" left all of us on the trail to struggle and hop skip his buddy's bike for miles of nasty rocky uphill. I wanted to rip the guys head off at the end of that ride.
I'm sure you get a feel of what riders are capable of and when they have reached full fatigue. The water crossing was a mess. If I am not 100% confident I can ride across I walk it.As a former instructor, my goal was to get people to challenge themselves and enjoy the efforts and rewards. Not turn it into motorcycle boot camp. Half the riders made it, but I don’t know that it was enjoyable. The other half were setup for failure IMHO
I'll say I used fast forward more than any previous riding documentary/series beforeIs this the same thing as that bomb of a movie "A Story Worth Living"? My wife surprised me by taking me there for my birthday, along with inviting a couple riding friends of mine......we still laugh about how horrible that movie was.
Yep, also enjoy the Itchy Boots series, easy viewing, interesting and far more about the journey that herself. Although I do wish she’d stop saying, super. Did start to watch On Her Bike too, but it all seemed a bit me me me and egotistical for my viewing, more about her than the journey.I'm just saying in case somebody hadn't but you've all seen The Ride, The tough ride series, (YouTube) itchy boots, and Nora right. This was probably my least favorite series so far that saying a lot as the tough rides brothers can be annoying. They're very lucky a broken foot was the only damage done to someone with this series. Itchy is probably my favorite to watch of all other than long way round.
Jesus does! hehehehehehOMG - this makes me cringe. Who takes a bunch of inexperienced riders up Ophir? This show is one long train wreck.
