the good news is the lowers (alt rider) are so good you really do not need the uppers ... I had just the lowers that protected two dirt (sand actually ) crashes in Moab on the white rim trail. no damage to bike ... alt rider no longer carries the bars or skid plate for the Tenere 1200 ... if you cant find some one who is selling his uppers , your all ready covered .

That's good to hear, for sure, but honestly, it's more about mount points and the look than crash protection. I'm in contact with AltRider right now..... lightly suggesting that they should produce a few more..... or maybe just one.......... for me!.....
Believe it or not, I'm told the VERY LAST ONE left their warehouse yesterday!!! Why the hell didn't I write them two days ago??? Hey, I've got piece-of-Mind knowing that the lowers do a good job. I'll just keep searching and if I don't find them, I might just have to fab something up myself..........eventually.Madhatter

when I traded my 2012 for my 2019 I decided to put everything I could find on to the bike ... its a blank canvass make it your own.

Ordered up a set of T-Rex along with their Skid Plate (a couple days previous). $80 less than the AltRider Upper alone, an more protection, ie Water Pump. Makin' it my own!
