Altrider crash bars

Is the left side of the bars supposed to stick out as much?

I have the same Altrider bars and they fit just like yours. I'm guessing it's to give us some room to remove the plastic cover.

Possibly manufacturing variances. My right side sticks out further than the left. Right (battery) cover no problem to get off. Left side will not come off with AltRider in place.

That's normal.

Yeah it's normal. They're deliberately designed so that the two bars nearest the lower bolts, together with the leading and trailing bends in the top bars, create a level "surface" when the bike lies down on it's side. Yep, and on my 14 I like them for some place to throw my feet on top of.
