Thanks for all the best wishes on the health scene.
Let me tell you it caught me by surprise as I exercised everyday for 20 years, ate right, no salt, no smoking, not overweight at 5'-11" and 165 lbs. Try as I might I could not alter what was in the family gene pool and had the heart attack. I "was" a super active person, but not right now as I am having some real medication problems they are trying to resolve. What amazed me was the fact that 3 weeks before the "event" as they call it, I had a cardio lite stress test, as I have each year, and it showed nothing. But when they went in they found 90% blockage. Go figure, I was the 5% they say don't show up on that test. The next test would have found it as it was a ultra sound EKG, per what the cardiologist says.
So it was not like I thought it would be, just bad heartburn and a slight numbing in the left arm. Quite frankly, I didn't even realizing that it was happening until the arm when completely numb.
Hopefully I will be back on a bike sooner than a year but for right now that is what they asked me to do because of all the blood thinners I am on and could bleed out quite quickly if an accident should happen. Plus the meds are making me loopy most of the time.
Once again thanks for all the best wishes.
