Most people dont realise the factory tool kits 'Phillips' is a JISThey weren’t Phillips, they’re JIS and ideally a JIS screwdriver should be used, thus avoiding the heads getting chewed. The dot confirms JIS.
The clutch MC may not be a made in Japan sourced component.Oddly the clutch MC doesn’t have JIS screws.
Thanks for the info. I don’t go to the ocean often but will see if I can find stainless steel.Ironically, the Super-10 master cylinder is made by Brembo (who's home country is Italy) . Brembo with JIS. I guess that they were both Axis countries a few decades ago.
Thread pitch is the same - it's just how the screwdriver and screw slots interact.
Those black-oxide coated screws are prone to rust. Might be an issue if you travel frequently to the ocean in Mexico.
