Here's my chance. So I thought I would start poking around on who might be going.

ALASKA summer 2013, who's going?

I will be living in Texas and will not be able to make my Fall trip this September. So I'm looking forward to a big trip next summer. If there is no meetup in Colorado it would be a possibility for me.

As far as myself going there are no set dates as of yet.. Its a relatively small window up there so its definitely in that 'window'... I would like to have some "set times" by Christmas... I would be GREAT to get some people together..

I'm a definite maybe but it's too early to commit and I'm more inclined to do the Dempster to Inuvik. ::001::

10 to 12k miles in 2 weeks is more than a death march. Especially if any of it is dirt.

I missed the Whitehorse trip this year. Looking back on the CAN AK trips reports I think June is too cold and wet. The mid July trips sounded warmer and drier. Surely there will be rain but the chances are better for warmer weather. In 2009 (late May to early June) I was in Kenai. It cold rained on the Peninsula while I was there. When I decided to leave (three day trip) I had good weather all the way to Haines. Afterwards I heard it rained for six days.

Did someone say Colorado Meetup 2013

I think you are taking a chance when ever you go, this is July 10th on the Dalton it was about 50f with rain. The coldest i seen was about 42f and the warmest was 60f. Still this was a trip of a life time for me. Cant wait to do it again.

Maybe the dates can be staggered with the possibility of making all three events or any combination of them; New Jersey (July 6th), Colorado (July 13th), CAN AK (July 27th). The dates are an example of the date spacing and NOT meant to suggest a date for any of these gatherings.

I'm up for Alaska summer 2013. If the dates get decided early enough, I might even have a shot of making it this year! :)
