So I posted a few weeks ago about a fine young man asking for my daughters hand

http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=11623.0

So after he asked her in early May we have been very busy since the wedding will be Sept 21, 2014...busy times.

They are advancing their ministry plans and to help with that they have decided to not rent an apartment and get tied down to much and have bought a 31' Airstream International and we are gutting it and remodeling it to fit their personal needs better. They really hold their value well and they got a good deal on one with a good straight, leak free shell on a good chassis but needs an interior redo....perfect fit. This will keep them flexible and able to move if a need arises elsewhere or if they take a ministry assignment in another state they will get to keep their home and just take it with them. They both volunteer on building assignments and have made themselves available for disaster relief work. We had some friends that did similar when Katrina hit and were able to head down shortly after and started some rebuilding of congregations and homes down there all while still living in their "home". My daughter always loved that idea of flexibility and off to craigslist they went...

It needs a little bit of new floor plywood near the bathroom but nothing major. We plan to see what works and what doesn't and start rebuilding. As a carpenter it should be easy for me with their help to remodel it.

Only issue is it is in Spicewood TX outside of Austin so I have to fly out Wed afternoon and tow it back with a rented truck.....gonna be a long week for me.

So, If anyone is into Airstream Travel Trailers and has ANY knowledge of them and their inner workings please chime in with ideas and let me know if I can pick your brains....should be fun to build something all together as a send off from our home and as a starter to their new life together.
