Will technology for autos make its way to motorcycles?

Polaris has reinvented the tire - airless type. ::017::

stage coaches had airless tires too. only way you'd EVER see this "technology" (if it even makes it to the consumer auto industry) is on a spyder...

1) Karson, I would never take my urban assault Super T off road.
Have Michelin Road Pilot 3

2) Do I feel like buying a wheel/tire every 4-12k miles?
We already do that now, at least I don't need to worry about tire pressure.

3) ...a spyder? Like the Porsche kind?

haha - no not the porsche kind!

I'm confused how this would apply to 2 wheeled cycles as you've got lean angles associated into it. factoring that into the design of that tire seems like it would basically be starting from square one.

I don't see how that internal structure could support lateral pressure like when leaning into a curve... all it looks like it takes into account now is vertical

I thought the Michelin version had been available for fork lifts and "bobcats" for a few years?
